Our Story

When I was a young lad-back in the last century-I harbored dreams of playing football for Australia. My girlfriend at the time had a special talent: she hand-knitted a one-of-a-kind beanie just for me.

It was vibrant green and white, proudly representing my footy club, the Cronulla Seagulls in Sydney. She poured her love and skill into each stitch, creating a piece that felt like a winning badge of pride. One day, with leftover wool still in abundance, I jokingly suggested she keep knitting until we had a 1.5-metre "tail" attached to the beanie-just for fun.

That beanie became a treasured keepsake, one I've held onto through the years. I kept it from my early teens and eventually introduced it to my children, who loved slipping it on during chilly days and sharing in the quirky charm of its unique design. Over time, the beanie didn't just stay a childhood relic, it became a family tradition and a symbol of memories and laughter.

A few years ago, I had a sudden burst of inspiration. I realized that others might enjoy having a piece of this nostalgic whimsy. And so, the idea of creating a special, unique beanie-something more than just headwear-began to take shape.
